Visual Art

The portion of the Final Exam that concentrates on the visual arts ( slides and short answer) will cover works from Impressionism through the Contemporary period.   Note that some of the theatre notes on the web site http://waynesweb.ualr.edu also refer to visual art works.   Review your notes, look at the works of art that are noted on your lecture handouts and are illustrated in your text book.

The Visual Arts test questions will be worth 20 points.   The kinds of test questions may include:

Integrated Essay (40 points of total exam)

For the essay, you will discuss how the visual arts, music, and theatre/dance evidence similar characteristics in a specific stylistic period, for example, Expressionism. The integrated essay question can be drawn from Impressionism to the present, so review examples in all the arts from Impressionism to the present.
